World Hunger Focus During Lent

Picture
During the season of Lent, we lifted up the work of the ELCA World Hunger Appeal. Our Sunday Schoolers collected for an Easter Sunday offering, and "grown-up" households matched their giving.
Also, all ages studied hunger in Sunday School, Adult Forum, and Wednesday evenings.
We collected a second offering for the World Hunger Appeal during all our Easter worship services.

All told, we raised almost $6,000 to combat hunger!

St.Ben's-Downtown
For over 100 years St. Benedict the Moor has affirmed and welcomed a rich variety of persons, especially the disenfranchised of our society.  People outside the mainstream are welcomed daily to some rest and a little bit of home.  Grace's support is in the meal program donations and work.
